Foundational Learning

PAMS worked with the federal and provincial education departments to develop an investment case for accelerating foundational literacy/reading, provided technical assistance to the federal and provincial governments for the development of foundational learning policies, provided support for the FL assessment framework to the Pakistan Institute of Education, and has customised the World Bank Group’s Literacy Policy Package for the South Asia region.

The work has been undertaken under multiple projects funded by the World Bank and the FCDO’s DARE portfolio.

PAMS continues to provide technical support to the School Education Department (Punjab) and the School Education & Literacy Department (Sindh) for the roll-out of the maths remediation programming in line with the notified Foundational Learning policies.
